Police Seek Man Seen On Video In Area Of North End Sexual Assault

BOSTON (CBS) -- Police are searching for a man seen on surveillance video near where a woman was sexually assaulted as she entered her North End apartment.

About 1 a.m. Saturday, the woman was unlocking the door of her apartment on Unity Street when a man pushed his way in, groped her, and then took a photo of her with his cellphone before running off, Boston Police said.

Though they are not calling the man in the video a suspect, police said he could have valuable information that could help in catching the attacker.

The video was taken in the in the area of Salem Street and Sheafe Street.

Police said the suspect has short blond spiked hair, blue eyes and freckles.

They said he was wearing a dark pea coat and could be in his 20's.
