BOSTON (CBS) – This morning’s “Celtics @ 7” featured a special guest, 98.5 The Sports Hub basketball analyst Cedric Maxwell.

Host Adam Kaufman opened the show with a review of Rajon Rondo’s first week, and asked if the C’s can build around their young captain in the wake of president of basketball operations Danny Ainge revealing he and the point guard have discussed an extension. Rondo’s enjoyed a slow return to full health, as expected, and it would be in his best financial interests to wait to commit to a long-term future in Boston.
