Driver To Face Motor Vehicle Homicide Charge In Deadly Ambulance Crash

MILFORD (CBS) - A 61-year-old driver who allegedly ran a stop sign and crashed into an ambulance in Milford on Tuesday will be cited for motor vehicle homicide by negligent operation and driving to endanger, officials said on Wednesday.

According to the District Attorney's office, Lisa Zemack of Framingham will be summoned to Milford District Court for arraignment at a later date.

Police say Zemack's car clipped a passing ambulance that was carrying a patient, causing the vehicle to roll over.

That patient, Karen Scott, 58, of Upton was killed.

A paramedic in the ambulance was also injured. The driver was not hurt.
