NH Police Seize Jewelry That May Be Linked To Dozens Of Burglaries

SALEM, NH (CBS) – A Salem, New Hampshire woman is facing charges after police say she was trading drugs for stolen merchandise from a suspect in dozens of area burglaries.

Rita Cooper, 48, was charged with receiving stolen property and drug possession with intent to distribute.

Officers raided Cooper's Main Street residence on Tuesday.

Detectives say they recovered thousands of dollars of stolen jewelry and a significant amount of heroin.

Police say the burglaries took place in Salem, Derry, Auburn, and Londonderry. The investigation is ongoing and there could be additional arrests and charges.
