71-Year-Old NH Man Killed By Car; Driver Flees
AMHERST, N.H. (AP) — Police in Amherst, N.H., are seeking the driver of a vehicle that struck and killed a pedestrian.
The 71-year-old man was struck about 1 p.m. on Merrimack Road and later pronounced dead at a hospital.
Police say the driver of the vehicle left the man severely injured in a snowbank and fled before they got to the scene.
Police are asking the public for any information they may have. They believe the vehicle has a damaged headlight on the passenger side.
