Blue Hills Ski Area Opens Ahead Of Schedule

BOSTON (CBS) --- Good news if you're a skier, Blue Hills Ski Area in Canton has opened ahead of schedule.

After a weekend snow storm dumped several inches of snow on the region, the ski area is ready.

On Sunday morning, Blue Hill posted the following on their Facebook page:

We couldn't let this snow storm pass us by. We will be open this Sunday! 10 AM to 4PM for season pass holders and 11AM to 4PM for day tickets. We are planning on opening the chairlift for skier's left on Big Blue and the big Magic Carpet for the beginner area.

Please pardon our appearance as we are still gearing up for our planned opening day of Friday, December 20th at 2PM . We will have limited services (no ski school and limited rentals) this Sunday with full services available Saturday, December 21st.
