ANDOVER (CBS) - Thanksgiving is rivalry day for high school football teams around the country.

But at Andover High's game against Central Catholic Thursday, a teacher from Danvers High School was on everyone's mind.

Andover's team colors are blue and gold, however, on this day the Warriors had a splash of pink – a pink sticker on their helmets with the initials "CR" to honor Colleen Ritzer.

Ritzer, 24, was murdered last month inside Danvers High School, where she was a popular math teacher.

She graduated from Andover High in 2007 and students at her alma mater have been selling T-shirts in Ritzer's favorite color pink.

The money raised will go to a memorial scholarship fund to benefit Andover High School graduates who also pursue teaching careers.

Warrior cheerleaders also displayed their support with pink ribbons on their jackets and in their hair.

"I think our school has really come together as a whole," Andover student Sophie Baird told WBZ-TV.

"We've all become more of a family now, because we are all reliving her spirit in all of the same ways."
