Garth Brooks Says Worcester On His List Of Best Places To Play In America

BOSTON (CBS) ---- Worcester a hub for country music? That's what country music star Garth Brooks says.

In an interview with WBZ-TV's Paula Ebben, Brooks spoke about his time performing in Worcester.

"We played there three or four times through the 90's, we played on Halloween night which is one of the greatest shows we've ever been able to do," Brooks said.

Brooks says Worcester is where he likes to be.

"You close your eyes there and you might as well be in the middle of Texas, they know their country music," Brooks said.

Brooks is promoting his Vegas show which will be broadcast on WBZ-TV, Friday at 9 p.m.
