Daily Talker: Amazon Sales Tax Begins Today

Starting today, the convenience of online shopping will come with a higher cost. Massachusetts will now apply a 6.25% sales tax to all purchases made from Amazon.
The online retailer reached an agreement with the state last year to charge buyers the tax beginning today, and it's expected to raise nearly $37 million this fiscal year.
Traditional brick and mortar businesses have long complained the lack of a sales tax for online shopping puts them at a disadvantage.
How will the new Amazon sales tax affect your shopping decisions? Will you be more likely to shop in person at a store, or is the convience of buying online worth the cost?
