All Bets Off Between Boston And St. Louis Mayors

At the time, it was the Cardinals vs. the Texas Rangers, and Slay bet some Schlafly's micro-brew instead of Anheuser-Busch beer with Arlington, Texas Mayor Robert Cluck.

KMOX sources say it did not go over well with Busch and caused Slay some embarrassment.

Although on Wednesday, Slay wouldn't admit it.

KMOX news director John Butler tried to pin down Mayor Slay earlier on the "brew-ha-ha."

"Well, I don't know where you're getting that from, but I did not feel any wrath," Slay laughed. "We have bet Anheuser-Busch beer many times in the past but what you're getting into is the difficulty of choosing between many  great products we have in St. Louis."
