Meth Lab Blamed For NH Fire

MANCHESTER, N.H. (CBS) --- Officials are saying a meth lab is to blame for a fire in a six-family home that caused $10,000 worth of damage.

Manchester Fire Department responded to the fire in a second floor apartment Sunday morning.

According to the fire department, they were notified of a possible meth lab in the apartment.

Additional safeguards were used to protect the responders and residents from any health threats posed by the lab.

When fire officials extinguished the blaze, they discovered the lab. Local officials and the Drug Enforcement Administration are investigating.

Approximately 25 people were evacuated during the fire, officials said.

No injuries were reported
