Two Men Rescued 12 Hours After Boat Capsizes In Salem Harbor

SALEM (CBS) - Two men were rescued Saturday morning in Salem Harbor after spending more than 12 hours sitting on top of an overturned catamaran.

The two wound up stranded after the boat capsized Saturday.

Salem's Assistant Harbormaster Mark Cassola says the crew of the boat "Fishy Business" out of Beverly spotted the two boaters around 7:20 a.m. and contacted officials.

The two victims, who were only identified as being from New Hampshire, were taken to shore and transported to the hospital for evaluation.

Salem Fire officials say both men were slightly hypothermic, but were in good condition.
