NEWTON, Mass. (AP) — Massachusetts authorities say they’ve found the body of an 18-year-old high school student from Newton who went missing on Thursday, and they don’t suspect foul play.
The Middlesex District Attorney’s Office says Karen Douglas’ body was found Saturday night in Natick.
No other details have been released.
Douglas attended Newton North High School.
Her parents reported her missing Thursday when they learned she missed classes that day while they attended a parent-teacher conference later that evening.
Police searched the area around the high school and found her vehicle about a half-mile away.
It was unlocked and the keys were in the ignition.
Newton police announced Sunday that the search for Douglas had ended, but provided no other details.
