One Injured, Two Arrested In iPhone Line Friday At Salem, NH Mall

SALEM, NH (CBS) – One person was seriously injured, two others were arrested on unrelated charges, and police in Salem, New Hampshire generally had their hands full outside the Apple Store Friday morning at the Mall at Rockingham Park.

Officers say they responded to the area on several occasions as a crowd of more than 1,000 people waited in line to get the new iPhone 5S.

On one occasion, officers found a man who had been knocked unconscious lying in some bushes.
That victim was taken to a local hospital. The police report notes that "None of the @1,000 people on scene 'witnessed' the assault.

Another call to police ended with officers arresting Mark Young, 24, of Peabody. He was charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct. Jennifer Young, 22, of Peabody was also arrested for trespassing and marijuana possession.

Officers say they are investigating several other minor incidents over the course of the morning that range from theft to domestic disputes and trespassing.
