Police Look For Men Who Used Skimmer At Walpole ATM

WALPOLE (CBS) - Walpole Police are looking for two men who put a skimmer at an ATM, stealing customers' information.

Police say the thieves stole thousands of dollars from a number of people by using the card reader device. The device was placed on the ATM at the Sovereign Bank on Main Street in Walpole back in August.

One of the men, police say, placed the skimmer over the ATM slot in the morning and the second man removed it at the end of the day. A short time later a total of six people reported having money stolen out of their account. A number of purchases from the card reader were made in New York.

Right now it's still unclear why the thieves targeted this particular ATM other than that it's a very busy location. Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to contact police.
