Plymouth Police Looking For 2 Men In Possible Attempted Abduction

It happened Sunday afternoon near Old Mill Road.

Witnesses say the men were riding in a white sedan with Rhode Island license plates and approached three children, ages 5 and 6.

Police Chief Michael Botieri said the vehicle was possibly a Nissan Altima or a Maxima-style vehicle, driven by two black males.

They appeared to try and entice the kids into the car.

The children ran away and the men drove off.

"They ran home and told their parents, who immediately called us," Botieri said.

Police caught up with the car twice and they were almost able to get the driver out, but the vehicle took off both times.

It collided with another car the second time.

An automated reverse 911 call went out to Plymouth residents and children at every school in town brought home notices describing the incident.

Police are asking anyone with any information to give them a call at 508-746-1212.
