Daily Talker: Should People On Food Stamps Be Required To Work For Benefits?

One out of every 7 people in this country is on food stamps.
Hundreds of thousands of Massachusetts families get financial assistance from the government every month to buy food.
But getting benefits could get more difficult.
Federal lawmakers are debating a plan to chop $40 billion dollars from the food stamp program over the next 10 years.
And if Republican lawmakers get their way, people who use food stamps could be required to work to get benefits.
President Obama says he'll veto any cuts to the program.
