Turtle Tagged In Trinidad Becomes Stranded In Barnstable

BARNSTABLE (CBS) --- A leatherback sea turtle, previously tagged in Trinidad, became stranded on a sandbar off Barnstable.

Town workers, the New England Aquarium and three Wellfleet Bay turtle team members worked to free the turtle, Wednesday.

The New England Aquarium said the turtle is healthy and was able to swim out on the high tide.
