Hingham Woman Finds Burglary Suspects Inside Home

HINGHAM (CBS) – Police in Hingham are looking for two men who broke into a Prospect Street home Thursday afternoon.

A woman arrived home at about 1:15 p.m. and found an unfamiliar car parked in the driveway. When she entered the home, she saw two men inside, who immediately fled.

The men, who were carrying bags, ran out the back porch and jumped about 15 feet to the ground. They were able to get into their car and drive away. The woman describes the car as a black sedan.

Police say the two men were able to get into the home by cutting a screen and unlocking a window at the front of the house. The home was ransacked and a pillow case and numerous pieces of jewelry are missing.

Police did not release a description of the suspects.
