Green Line Trolley Goes Off Rails In Coolidge Corner

BOSTON (CBS) --- A MBTA Green-Line trolley went off the tracks in Coolidge Corner Tuesday morning.

The accident happened shortly before noon on the C-Line between Cleveland Circle and Kenmore Square.

Buses replaced trolley service on Beacon Street between Kenmore and Cleveland Circle for a couple of hours.

The MBTA said the trolley had just been taken out of service due to a mechanical problem. It was being moved from one track to the other when the accident occurred.

No passengers were on board at the time and no one was injured.

Delays continued through Tuesday afternoon.
