Small Plane Crashes In Westport

WESTPORT (CBS) -- A small plane crashed Sunday morning, as it was about to takeoff.

The plane crashed around 6:46 a.m. near Adamsville Road.

The FAA says the single engine Kodiak aircraft had five people on board and ran off the end of a runway as it was departing a privately owned airstrip.

"There were no injuries reported. The extent of damage to the aircraft, if any, is unknown. The FAA will investigate. This is preliminary information," the FAA said in a statement.
