NH State Police Investigate 'Untimely Death' In Concord

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — New Hampshire authorities are investigating what they are describing as the untimely death of a homeless man.

State police and the county prosecutor's office say 52-year-old Paul E. Tinkham died early Saturday morning at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center where he was being treated for a head injury.

Authorities say police were called Tuesday evening to a homeless encampment in the woods in Concord, where Tinkham lived. Police say while there he sustained a head injury. Authorities have not said how he was injured.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday morning to determine the cause of death.

State Police say they are investigating how Tinkham was injured and are encouraging anyone with information to contact them.
