Toucher & Rich: 98.5 The Sports Hub Search Winner Matthew McCarthy

After the long audition process, 98.5 The Sports Hub has a new weekend co-host.

Ten audition events were held in the The 98.5 The Sports Hub Search For Boston's Next Weekend Co-Host, where 10 semifinalists were chosen. They were then narrowed down to the final four, where the last contestants standing competed live on Saturday at Hurricane O'Reilly's.

Each finalist got about 30 minutes to sit down with Hardy and give their opinions on numerous topics having to do with Boston sports, but there could only be one winner -- Matthew McCarthy from Carver, MA.

McCarthy joined Toucher & Rich on Monday morning, and T&R wanted to see if McCarthy could hold his own in a good old fashion Sports Debate.

They threw five questions at him and gave him 20 seconds to give them the hottest take he could. Listen below to see how he did:
