Lawsuit: Girl Kicked Out Of Mass. Summer Camp Over Kiss

WESTPORT, Conn. (AP) — The parents of a 15-year-old Connecticut girl are suing a summer camp in Massachusetts, saying their daughter was kicked out of camp after she was kissed by a boy.

The lawsuit says the girl was kicked out of Camp Emerson in Hinsdale, Mass., last month and a camp official falsely accused her and the boy of sexually provocative behavior.

The suit does not name the girl or her parents.

Rosemarie Arnold, attorney for the family, says she filed the lawsuit Monday in Bridgeport Superior Court. It seeks more than $600,000 in damages, alleging negligent infliction of emotional distress, defamation and other claims.

A camp official declined to comment.
