BOSTON (CBS) — At the WBZ Water Cooler: The Red Sox and Yankees are underway tonight after a short rain delay (where it actually didn’t rain).

We caught up with Dave Mellor, the director of grounds at Fenway, who makes the call to delay the game.  He also talked about the challenges New England weather presents, how he picks the grass designs and how he feels about concerts and big stages being erected in the outfield.

There have been threatening skies throughout the game, but it looks like the longtime rivals will be able to play this one all the way through.
