2 Dead After Greenfield Tractor Trailer Crash

GREENFIELD (CBS/AP) — State police are investigating a tractor trailer crash early Sunday morning that killed a man and woman in the truck.

Authorities said the vehicle was engulfed in flames when troopers were dispatched to the crash in Greenfield at about 3 a.m. Sunday. The crash happened on the northbound side of Route 91, prompting police to shut down part of the road for several hours.

State police identified the crash victims as Theodore Wilson, 33, and Eleanor Williams, 45, both of Birmingham, Ala.

Authorities said the tractor trailer crashed into the median between exits 27 and 28.
