BOURNE (CBS) – One person was killed and three others were injured in a hit and run crash at the base of the Sagamore Bridge in Bourne Thursday night.

The victims have not yet been identified. The crash happened around 8:25 p.m. on the westbound side of Route 6.

State Police shut down the roadway and traffic was being diverted to the Bourne Bridge.

Investigators say a dark colored pickup truck rear-ended another pick-up truck in the eastbound lane, sending the truck head-on into a minivan.

The dark-colored pick-up truck that initially hit the second truck took off from the scene.

Police say the vehicle was heading eastbound on Route 6. They believe the truck may have front end damage. They’re asking anyone with information to contact them.
