Shaw's & Star Market Eliminate Rewards Card
WEST BRIDGEWATER (CBS) – If you own a Shaw's or Star Market rewards card, feel free to throw it away (or recycle it).
The West Bridgewater-bases supermarket chain announced that they have ended their rewards programs as of Friday.
Shaw's president Shane Sampson said in a statement that the company would continue to run weekly sales and promotions.
"All of our customers deserve to get the lowest price on their groceries without needing to carry a Rewards Card with them," he said.
In addition, the company announced plans to lower prices on popular items such as milk, eggs, and bread.
