Gov. Patrick Celebrates "Take Your Dog To Work Day"

BOSTON (CBS) - Governor Deval Patrick brought his dog to work Friday at the State House.

The dog, Toby, was seen in the Governor's Office in a picture posted to Patrick's official Twitter account Friday afternoon.

The caption to the picture read "Toby makes an appearance in the Governor's office for #takeyourdogtoworkday!"

June 21 marks "Take Your Dog to Work Day" for dog owners, a tradition first celebrated in 1999.

According takeyourdog.com, the event was first started to by the group Pet Sitter's International, as a way to "celebrate the great companions dogs make."
