Worcester-Area Parents On Alert After Man Seen Snapping Photos Of Children

WORCESTER (CBS) -- Police are warning people in several towns about a suspicious man snapping photos of children.

Update: Worcester Police Find Suspicious Man

"It's just scary, and I want him gone," said Lisa Prodromidis, as she wiped away tears. "Just him seeing my kids and trying to take them from me."

Leicester Police say the man was spotted there Wednesday. Another resident had seen him back on May 8th. Then there were similar reports in Paxton and Worcester.

"There were children out playing and this person or persons were out in the vehicle taking pictures of these children," said Worcester Police Sgt. Kerry Hazelhurst.

"He picked the wrong neighborhood," said Rich Power, who lives on Foxmeadow Drive, where one of the incidents was reported. "Everyone's keeping an eye out. People are being vigilant.

A police cruiser went up and down his street.

Courtney Fluet decided to pick her little sister up from the bus stop.

"She texted me awhile ago and said 'Can you pick me up at the bus stop,' and then after we heard about this, I went and got her."

Police are looking for a black 2-door Acura or a Ford Ranger, and a white man with balding hair, possibly in his 40's.

All of the reported incidents have been between 3:00pm and 5:00.
