Expired Inspection Sticker Leads To Hashish Bust In Brookline
BROOKLINE (CBS) - A traffic stop over an expired inspection sticker ended in a large drug bust Friday in Brookline.
Brookline police officers say they found evidence of marijuana in a car they pulled over around 4:20 p.m. on Friday.
The stop took place near 224 Washington Street, which is only about 300 yards away from the police station on the same street.
A follow-up search of the car turned up more than a pound of hashish with an estimated street value of over $10,000, according to police.
Officers also recovered a loaded ammunition magazine with nine .9 mm bullets, along with $1,900. in cash.
The suspect, Michael Simeone, 23, of Mansfield faces drug dealing and ammunition possession charges.
