Menino: I've Never Been On A Duck Boat Tour
BOSTON (CBS) – Mayor Menino has attended thousands of ribbon cuttings, he's been to scores of city sporting events, and has established quite a high profile during his time as mayor of Boston.
However, despite serving two decades as mayor, Menino revealed to a group of surprised reporters on Friday during the annual media tour of Fenway Park that he has never been on a duck boat tour.
"I haven't been on a duck tour, no. I've seen a lot of people on duck tours, but I've never been on one," the mayor admitted.
Donning a Red Sox jacket, Menino did vow to ride in a duck boat parade "when" the Red Sox win the World Series this year.
"I want to be up there with the World Series champions," Menino said.
