Suffolk D.A. Dan Conley To Announce Bid For Mayor
BOSTON (CBS) -Suffolk District Attorney Dan Conley will announce Wednesday that he is in the running for mayor of Boston.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030 confirmed that Conley will issue a statement Wednesday and will have an event making his intentions formal.
Conley has served as the Suffolk County D.A. since 2002. Before that, he was a Boston City Councilor.
City Councilor John Connolly announced his campaign before Mayor Tom Menino shook-up the political landscape with his announcement that he would not seek a sixth term.
As many as a dozen others are "considering" a run for mayor.
