Harlem Globetrotters' Bus Involved In Accident In Marlborough

MARLBOROUGH (CBS/AP) — Massachusetts State Police say a bus carrying the Harlem Globetrotters was involved in what appears to be a weather-related accident, but no one was hurt.

State Police told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 there were no injuries and the crash was "very minor."

A department spokesman says the team's bus was involved in a collision with a car on Interstate 290 eastbound in Marlborough just before 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. Many areas of central Massachusetts got more than six inches of snow Tuesday.

The bus was delayed about 25 minutes before it left the area under its own power.

The car, driven by a 30-year-old woman, was towed from the scene.

No citations were issued.

The Globetrotters played a game in nearby Worcester on Sunday according to the team's website, and have a game scheduled for Bangor, Maine on Tuesday.
