The aquarium's Tony LaCasse says the seal is in good health.

"The animal is considered to have a good weight and is active and alert," LaCasse said. "Overall, it should be good."

The New England Aquarium has started a campaign titled, "Seals Belong On The Beach" in an effort to prevent the public from handling the seals.

LaCasse says if you see a seal on the beach, don't feed, cover or touch the seal and never drag it back to the water.
