Wareham Bank Robbed, Police Asking Public For Help

Wareham (CBS) – Wareham police moved swiftly Tuesday morning asking for the public's help identifying a suspected bank robber.

The suspect walked into the Eastern Bank on Main Street around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday and handed the teller a note indicating he had a weapon.

The teller handed over cash and the suspect took off. No weapon was shown, and one was hurt.

Within three hours of the robbery, police sent out surveillance photos and a description of the suspect in hopes of capturing him.

He's described as being white, approximately 5'9" tall, weighing approximately 180 lbs., with dark brown facial hair.

The suspected robber was wearing dark clothing and sunglasses.
