Tom Brady Reportedly Planning To Build Mansion In Brookline

BROOKLINE (CBS) - Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen have spent the last couple of years building a beautiful mansion in Los Angeles, but apparently it's not enough. It's being reported that Brady and his bride also want to have a home in Brookline.

The dream spot is 5.2 acres of prime real estate owned by Pine Manor College, land the school wants to sell. The plot plan proposal submitted to the the town calls for a very large house, a smaller one for domestic help, and a third building, reportedly to be used as a yoga studio.

The plan was approved Thursday night at a Zoning Board meeting.

The potential buyers are reported to be none other than Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen. At a realtor's office in Brookline, that's good news. "I'm a real football fan and I just think having Tom Brady on the next street will just enhance Brookline," says realtor Sheila Goddess.

Some neighbors and residents aren't happy with the plan, expressing worries about construction noise and dirt. "I don't think we need that many mega houses. There are a lot in our neighborhood now that are relatively new," says Brookline resident Hugh Dunlap.

Other residents would welcome the celebrity couple.

"I don't think they'll do everything, but I think they'll probably try to make it work. I mean Tom Brady is pretty beloved," says Brookline resident Lara Shuqom.

No one has officially said Brady and Bundchen are the potential buyers, but one resident who lives next to the parcel told us the two celebrities visited her street.
