Worker Accused Of Using School Computers To Solicit Underage Girl

PORTSMOUTH, NH (CBS) – A man who worked in the I.T. Department at Portsmouth, New Hampshire School Department is facing charges for allegedly soliciting an underage girl online.

A tipster contacted officers about 34-year-old Ken Kimber earlier this month. After an investigation, police arrested Kimber on Friday and charged him with five felony counts of indecent exposure and three felony counts of certain uses of a computer prohibited.

He's accused of using school computers to commit the alleged crimes.

The school department said in a statement that Kimber has been "discharged" from his position.

"The School Department took immediate interim steps to ensure that all students were protected," the statement also said.

He is being held on $5,000 cash and $15,000 personal recognizance bail.
