Bradley Jay: 'Get On Board With An Assault Weapons Ban.'

My name is Bradley Jay and I host the Jay Talking radio show which airs every Sunday evening at 10pm on WBZ NewsRadio 1030. And I like guns. Consider this:

Are you a person that feels Second Amendment rights trump the need to reduce American slaughter-by-gun? Or do you feel the potential need to defend ourselves against a tyrannical government or home intruder is feeble when compared to the horror, pain, and death visited upon young and old by assault weapons?

The old "guns don't kill people, people kill people" chestnut has worn thin. Sewing machines don't sew clothing, people do, but sewing machines make it a heck of a lot easier.

And the idea that all those with mass murderous intent will find other means to massacre if we take their guns away is ridiculous. It is simply not true. It is just too easy to pick up a rifle and a bag of mags and start tearing up families.

Assault weapons are not appropriate for hunting or home defense. They are for killing you and your neighbors.

Wake up and get real with an assault weapons ban. Many cops and conservatives agree, and those who don't are getting relegated to the fringe.

I feel that those who hang on to the old cliches in the era of modern murder need to open their eyes and their minds. And this is from a guy who likes to shoot a lot. (Click play to see if you are a better shot than I am.)
