People from the Merrimack Valley up to Rye, N.H. have attended the game nights even though they may not be associated with the college.

“You get social interaction, mental stimulation,” Mike Cross, assistant chemistry professor and club advisor said. “They want to unplug. Everyone is online, they have their phones, they have everything and they want to get away from that.”

Cross, who met his wife while playing a board game at a party, says the games can be an ice breaker to meet new people.

At Tuesday’s convention, there will be hundreds of different board games to learn and play as well as tournaments.
