Phantom Gourmet: Saus In Boston
BOSTON (CBS) - These just might be the best fries in Boston.
Golden and crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside and served with your choice of more than a dozen homemade dipping sauces. You know you want them... And this is the place to get them.
Located just steps from Faneuil Hall, Saus is the delicious creation of three food obsessed friends named Tayna, Renee, and Chin. The group worked together at a software company, got laid off, and decided to open this shop, and serve up some unforgetable fries.
And since Saus pays homage to the best in Belgian street food, they've recently added some more authentic options to the menu, like the Double Cheddar Frikandel, essentially a cheese smothered hamburger sausage.
There's a juicy chicken sandwich with apple cabbage slaw, and a gourmet Sloppy Joe, named the Sloppy Jacques, featuring ground beef braised in tomatoes, bacon, onions, and beer.
And for dessert, Saus' life-changingly delicious waffles are like nothing you've ever tasted before.
