Lawrence Mayor Lantigua To Run For Re-Election

LAWRENCE (CBS) - Often-embattled Lawrence Mayor William Lantigua announced Friday night that he'll run for a second term.

Despite attempts to unseat him and ongoing accusations of political corruption, Lantigua says he believes he's done a good job as mayor.

He pointed out to the Eagle Tribune that he has managed to balance the city's budget for the past three years. Lawrence was on the brink of bankruptcy when he took over.
