Cambridge GLBT Panel Seeks Volunteers

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — Cambridge is looking for volunteers for a city commission focused on equality for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people.

The commission's mission is to advocate for a culture of respect for the GLBT community.

City officials say commission members participate in community events and help educate the public.

Prospective commissioners must live or work in Cambridge and submit a resume and letter of interest to city manager Robert Healy by Monday.
