Report: Youkilis Has $12 Million Offer From Yankees
BOSTON (CBS) - Could former Red Sox first/third baseman Kevin Youkilis end up in pinstripes?
The free agent reportedly has a one-year, $12-million offer from the Yankees to man their hot corner while Alex Rodriguez recovers from yet another hip surgery.
Youkilis was traded from the Red Sox to the Chicago White Sox last June after spending nine seasons with Boston.
Youkilis hit .235 with 19 home runs and 60 RBIs between Boston and Chicago in 2012. A career .283 hitter, Youkilis is also drawing interest from Terry Francona's Cleveland Indians.
