Baby Jesus Statue Stolen From Quincy Nativity Scene Found
QUINCY (CBS) – The statue of baby Jesus stolen from Quincy Center for the second time in eight years, has been found.
The statue was found a half mile away from where it was stolen inside Mount Wollaston Cemetery.
Police say the parks department will put the statue back.
Police Captain John Dougan told WBZ-TV the ceramic statue was bolted down in a cradle in the manger, but someone reported it missing Wednesday afternoon.
A fiberglass baby Jesus statue was stolen from the same location back in 2004.
It was eventually found floating in a river in town days later.
No one was ever arrested in that case.
