Former National Guard General Accused Of Rape Gets Big Pension

BOSTON (CBS) - The former head of the Massachusetts National Guard who retired amid rape accusations will collect a big pension.

The state retirement board has approved a pension of $122,000 for Joseph Carter, plus a $13,000 housing allowance.

Earlier this year, the I-Team revealed that Carter was accused of rape 30 years ago, but was never charged.

The military launched an investigation and Carter retired abruptly in September.
