Suspected Thief Displays Stun Gun At Quincy Store

QUINCY (CBS) - Police in Quincy are looking for the woman who threatened a store worker with a stun gun when he caught her stealing a bottle of vodka.

The incident happened Wednesday night at the Rite Aid on Granite Street.

A worker confronted the woman and tried to escort her to a back office.

Quincy Police Lt. Jack Sullivan says, "She got to the office, she opened up her pocketbook, displayed what everyone described as a taser, and told the clerks she was going to tase them."

Surveillance video shows the woman's hair weave getting torn-off during a scuffle with one of the workers. She was able to make it to the parking lot and drive away.

Police believe they will track her down quickly and doubt they'll need to use the wig for DNA evidence.
