Mark Lund Named President, GM Of WBZ-TV, WSBK-TV

BOSTON (CBS) - WBZ-TV and WSBK-TV have a new president and general manager.

Mark Lund will take over for the retiring Ed Piette, Peter Dunn, President of CBS Television Stations, announced Tuesday.

Piette, who has been in local television for 43 years, including the past six with WBZ and WSBK, will leave his post October 26.

Lund, a veteran of nearly 30 years in local television, was most recently the Executive Vice President of Sales for the NBC Owned Television Stations.

Before joining NBC in July 2007, Lund spent a combined 11 years with WBZ and WSBK.

His connections to the stations date back to the early 1980s, when he got his start as an intern at WBZ. Lund later worked in the station's traffic and sales departments.

"I am honored to have this terrific opportunity to rejoin CBS and come back to the stations where I got my start and an area that my wife Amy, a Boston College grad, and I have long considered our home," Lund said in a statement.
