Patriots Practice: Hernandez , Hightower Questionable vs. Broncos

BOSTON (CBS) - Following his return to the practice field on Thursday, Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was back out there on Friday.

Hernandez was one of 12 players listed as "questionable" on the Pats' Friday injury report for Sunday's game against the Broncos, giving him a 50-50 chance of playing.

Wide receiver Julian Edelman (hand) and safety Steve Gregory (hip) missed their third straight day of practice, and are both out for Sunday's tilt.

Tight end Michael Hoomanawanui was also missing on Friday, and is questionable for the game.

Patriots Blog: Pats' Backs Ready To Run

Patriots rookie linebacker Dont'a Hightower was on the field on Friday, but once again limited with a hamstring injury he suffered in last Sunday's win over the Bills.

He is also listed as "questionable," and said earlier on Friday he is "day-to-day."

"Right now it's a day-to-day thing, it's going to be up to Jumbo (team athletic trainer Jim Whalen) and Coach Belichick," Hightower said Friday. "Each day it's getting better, I'm feeling better, I'm moving around great. It's going to be a game-time decision, it's going to be up to them."

Running back Brandon Bolden, defensive end Brandon Deaderick, defensive tackle Justin Francis, tight end Rob Gronkowski, guard Logan Mankins, offensive lineman Nick McDonald, cornerback Sterling Moore, running back Shane Vereen and offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer were the others listed as "questionable" for Sunday.

Mankins missed last week's win over the Bills with a hip injury.
