Better Weather Ahead...But Not Out Of The Woods

What a nutty weekend! After the morning rain ended...Breaking sunshine & pop up scattered showers and T'storms inland. Sunshine reflecting off the raindrops helped give beautiful views of rainbows to end the weekend. Now to cap it all off, as skies begin to clear the Harvest moon illuminating the evening sky. Whatever the weather is...I just love it all!

The "Wheel in the Sky" sits over us tonight still providing upper level instability which will last through tomorrow especially across NNE.  Clouds will linger longer across the north , but skies will be clearing in the south. At the surface, we have a low shifting into Maine and wrapping in drying west winds tonight through tomorrow. Look for a breezy mix of sun and clouds Monday. A few instability showers may pop across the north where there will be lingering clouds along with the upper low which will continue to pull away. Partly to Mostly sunny skies in the south with highs climbing into the upper 60's and Lwr 70's. Winds could gust to 30-35 mph with SW winds tomorrow which will help to warm eastern facing coastlines. An Invigorating day!

High pressure will hold on as long as possible on Tuesday. Highs will warm into the mid 70's with SW wind. Clouds will be on the increase in the afternoon ahead of rain which will be directed Northeast from the Gulf. A trough will remain across the east through Tuesday. A low which has origins form the tropical Pacific, brought flooding rains to Texas of 6-8", will track up through the Ohio Valley. It will arrive here in a weakened state. Still I expects these showers to be arriving late Tuesday..mostly Tuesday night through Wednesday morning. A warm front will likely remain stalled over us Wednesday keeping clouds in place through early Thursday. Clouds and scattered showers will eventually clear with increasing sunshine, less humidity to end out the week with temps still holding in the lwr-mid 70's. Not bad for this time of year!
